Job Description:
A company is looking for a Software Safety Engineer to support
system and software engineering efforts for the Program Executive
Office Ground Combat Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering analysis of software configuration and
functional analysis
Ensure software safety compliance with MIL-STD-882E within a
DevSecOps CI/CD software pipeline or waterfall SDLC approach
Conduct software verification and validation, including unit and
system-level testing
Required Qualifications
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software
Engineering
A Master's degree in a relevant discipline may substitute for one
year of general experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development for DoD
computer systems using Ada, C, C++, or Java
At least three years of experience in developing real-time software
for DoD tactical platforms or simulation/stimulation systems
