About the PositionPêche Seafood Grill, a renowned restaurant in New Orleans, is seeking an exceptional Oyster Shucker to join their team.Job SummaryThe Oyster Shucker will be responsible for executing menu items and recipes as set forth by the Chef de Cuisine. Key responsibilities include setting up and working line stations, completing daily station mis en place, consistently executing menu items, and maintaining a clean and organized station.Responsibilities

  • Setup and Operation: Set up and work line stations at the required level.
  • Mise en Place: Complete daily station mise en place in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food Preparation: Consistently execute menu items while following current restaurant recipes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in a professional manner with fellow BOH employees.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized station.
  • Deep Cleaning: Assist in weekly deep cleaning of the BOH.
  • Quality Control: Taste all food at any required moment before and during service.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Follow all proper food safety practices and kitchen safety practices.Requirements
    • Experience: Minimum of one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required.
    • Skills: Basic knife skills, sanitation knowledge, food safety knowledge, and a passion for food and hospitality.
