The Medical Technologist Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory section including testing, quality control, training, maintaining supplies and relating with Laboratory administration. The Medical Technologist Lead ensures that services are of the best quality and is responsible for assuring section meets all regulatory requirements. The MT Lead performs laboratory testing as needed or required, updates section's computer database as needed, evaluates employees using laboratory and hospital guidelines and policies to perform competency assessment. The Medical Technologist Lead encourages professional growth and development of staff and coordinates on site training of Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician students and new hires.



*Education*
* Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.



*Licenses & Certifications:*
* MLS - Medical Lab Scientist (Formally MT Certification) ASCP, AAB, AMT or equivalent required



*Qualifications:*
* 3-5 years clinical laboratory experience required.
* Must have Blood Bank experience.
