Job Summary
This job coordinates and manages an effective, comprehensive, and ongoing development program for a service line area. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, promoting, coordinating, and administering the program. It involves directing fundraising efforts, especially major gifts, and working closely with the department chair to align fundraising priorities and needs. The role also requires engaging physicians, nurses, department administrators, and key volunteers in fundraising efforts.
Minimum Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience: 6 years of related fundraising/development experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proficiency with computer skills, including data entry, retrieval, and software specific to role.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of planning and conducting comprehensive fundraising programs.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing good working relationships and handling difficult situations.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.

      Job Duties

      • Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
      • Provide stewardship for assigned donors and maintain prospect tracking information.
      • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.
      • Develop and administer the department's annual development budget.
      • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines on donor strategies.
      • Maintain physical and technological infrastructure.
      • Perform other related duties as required.
