and manages an effective, comprehensive and ongoing development
program for a service line area. Plans, implements, promotes,
coordinates and administers a comprehensive development program.
Plans and directs fundraising efforts to benefit the department
with an emphasis on major gifts and works closely with the
department chair to determine appropriate fundraising priorities
and needs. Actively engages physicians, nurses, department
administrators and key volunteers in fundraising efforts.To perform

ExperienceRequired: 6 years of related fundraising/development
experience.Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of
required job information.
- Proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and
various software programs specific to role.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability
to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels
of individuals throughout required job processes.
- Thorough knowledge of principles and methods of planning and
conducting a comprehensive fundraising program.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish good
working relationships with physicians, patients, donors,
volunteers, businesses and the general public as well as handle
difficult situations.
- Willingness to travel as required by the geographic location of
donors/prospects.
- Effective computer skills including database operation and word
processing.
- Good organizational and time management skills.Job Duties
- Identifies, cultivates and solicits prospective donors,
including individuals, foundations and corporations.
- Provides stewardship for assigned donors and assists in
maintaining prospect tracking information in Clearview.
- Manages a portfolio of major gift prospects.
- Develops and administers the annual development budget for the
department.
- Serves as a member of the overall development team by
collaborating with colleagues across disciplines on donor
strategies.
- Maintains physical & technology infrastructure.
- Performs other related duties as required.The above statements
